Lake Constance Therm Überlingen

In Überlingen on Lake Constance the "Lake Constance Therm" was opened in 2003 on the grounds of the former open air pool "Westbad". Lying directly on the shores of Lake Constance, with a southerly view over the entire Überlingen lake to the swiss mountains, the angular building is a real eye catcher. Sports, family, childrens and adventure pools, fitness-quiet-water zones and a sauna area caters for a special type of bathing experience. The expected number of visitors was 700-800 guests per day but this was exceeded by almost double in the first five months.

SCHOMBURG products were used for waterproofing and tiling in the sports pool and the adventure pool. AQUAFIN-2K, a flexible mineral-based waterproof coating with over 20 years provenance, was used for waterproofing. The flexible adhesive SOLOFLEX was subsequently used as the tile adhesive for the approx. 2,500m² area. This guaranteed a secure bond to the pool base and walls. Bathing fun for the forseeable future is assured with SCHOMBURG products.
