Mother and child health clinic and sanatorium in Selent
Deliberated planning, conscientious implemenation and the installation of high quality building products are essential factors for effective and safe construction work. The project "Mother and child sanatorium" in Selent placed particular requirements on the waterproofing. A competent contact partner for the waterproofing was SCHOMBURG GmbH which offers planning advice as part of its service.
For over 20 years the mineral-based waterproof system AQUAFIN-2K has been acknowledged and requested. Assured and feasible detailed solutions such as e.g. the sealing of the floor drainage, project specific technical illustrations and written specifications were the basis for the decision by the site management to choose AQUAFIN-2K as the waterproofing material.
At the Mother and child sanatorium the AQUAFIN system was used to waterproof components in contact with the ground and for waterproofing beneath tiles. The tiles in the kitchen were grouted with ASODUR-EK, a two component chemical resistant epoxy resin grout.
In the meantime, partnerships and reliable cooperation have lead to the installation of SCHOMBURG products in two further projects by Züblin (Rehabilitation clinics in Heiligendamm and Boltenhagen). Again the persuasive concept and the widening of the scope of the design that the waterproofing offered was crucial here.
