Hellabrunn-Munich Animal Park

The man-made portrayal of rivers, lakes etc in concrete demands a waterproofing material which adapts itself to the background.

Therefore at the animal park in Hellabrunn-Munich the concrete structures for the imitation river landscape as well as the water tanks for supplying the rivers were protected from the water with AQUAFIN-2K. Approximately 5kg/m² of AQUAFIN-2K were applied in 2 - 3 layers, necessary due to the uneveness of the background, in order to provide the necessary dry film thickness of 2.5mm.

A total of 500m² were successfully waterproofed in this way.
