Health Resort "Parkblick" in Horn-Bad Meinberg
The owners of this "four star hotel" wished to offer their guests a fitness area in rooms flooded with light, especially the indoor pool, and not to use the basement area as is so often the case. Therefore a conservatory was built in the attic space.
Along with the specific characteristics of the statics, the permanent watertightness of the pool shell, the pool surrounds and the wet duty rooms had to be guaranteed. Due to the statics of the pool it was constructed from waterproof reinforced concrete to be warp resistant. Freedom from cracks could not be guaranteed so the necessary waterproofing was produced with AQUAFIN-2K, a flexible mineral-based waterproof coating. The tiling was effected with UNIFIX-2K, a two component thin bed adhesive from SCHOMBURG.
Due to difficulties with connecting joints the waterproofing of the pool surround and the wet duty areas was not undertaken with preformed membranes therefore AQUAFIN-2K and UNIFIX-2K were used as a system for the waterproofing in combination with the tiles.
