Liquid damp proof membrane and facade impregnator - AQUAFIN-IB2
With the solvent free AQUAFIN-IB2 SCHOMBURG GmbH offers a new waterproof system and with it expands its AQUAFIN programme. With this innovative waterproofing material not only can restrospective damp proof membranes (horizontal barriers) but also facade impregnation can be achieved.
AQUAFIN-IB2 concerns a liquid siloxane-silane binder which is offered as a high yield concentrate. This concentrate is diluted on site at a mix ratio of up to 1:20 dependent on application. Even with 95% saturation of the brickwork AQUAFIN-IB2 achieves its water impenetrable function at a dilution of 1:12. The requirements of the WTA-sheet E 4-4-04/D are achieved, without any following injection, which certification confirms.
Futhermore AQUAFIN-IB2 is suitable as a surface impregnator for porous building materials e.g. bricks, clinker, limestone, natural stone and mineral-based renders. The neutral coloured compostion maintains the natural look of the surface and does not form a film. It dries non-tacky, is UV resistant and can be for example overpainted with suitable dispersion paints.
Numerous trials show that AQUAFIN-IB2 as a concentrate is on top. In addition to the high levels of dilution the mixed material is also stable for up to 12 months in the diluted state.
