Modern powder packaging for even better quality

Hygroscopic and above all rapid setting powder products require clean, sealed packaging and above all one that is protected against moisture. Internally coated, multi-layered paper bags have become continuously better over the years but they are not able to keep pace qualitatively with plastic packaging in many respects. In the past there was a shortage of reliable and economically acceptable filling plants on the market. The engineering industry has been able to change that and we also decided to acquire an appropriate system from a traditional German company. Since January 2009 the production of dry mortar products has been changed from paper to PE plastic packaging, firstly with a selection such as tile adhesives, grouts, smoothing compounds, waterproofing slurries etc.

This innovation offers many advantages during the filling process, during storage and delivery and also with handling on the building site. As it is concerned with an enclosed system, the formation of dust in production is reduced to a minimum. Moisture penetration and the associated lumping of the products is almost eliminated. Dusty storage in warehouses caused by unsealed valves is not applicable and the risk of damage to the paper bags during transportation is reduced to a minimum. Long shelf lives as well as an extended retention of product properties are guaranteed with the new, recyclable plastic sacks and consequently this brings customer convenience – for the distributor worldwide as well as for the end user.

The advantages and the positive feedback from our customers have made it necessary to commission a second plant. Since the middle of 2010 this runs at the production plant in Halle, Saale.
