Octopus in the school playground - Heinrich Heine School, Rostock

The goal was to turn a grey school playground into a colourful one for the children. Amongst others an octopus was created on the floor in concrete, the painting of which should achieve a hard-wearing surface protection.

The water vapour barrier ASODUR-SG2 was applied to the "concrete skin" inclusive of a broadcast coat with quartz sand to provide the necessary slip resistance. Afterwards the children were able to paint their octopus. Subsequently an application of ASO-1K-Primer-TKF followed as a primer and then ASODUR-CB/L as the hard-wearing traffickable surface sealer.
