Solisko Spa Hotel, Slovakia

The Slovakian town of Poprade, high in the Tatra mountains, has applied together with the Polish town of Zakopane for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. Since the announcement of this decision increased endeavours in the presentation of the building fabric have been directed towards the decision makers of the IOC. SCHOMBURG worked in conjunction with planners and contractors on a cost effective yet aesthetically appropriate solution.

One of the projects, which was refurbished from such combined efforts, was awarded first prize in 1998 as "Building of the year": The Solisko Spa Hotel.

Together with the Architects Peter Cemo, Tibor Bendik and Viera Gáliková a complete refurbishment was accomplished with the SCHOMBURG products THERMOPAL-SR22, THERMOPAL-GP11, THERMOPAL-FS33 and AQUAFIN-2K, which transformed the installation into a technically and optically exceptional condition. The Solisko Spa Hotel is not the currently most loved hostelry for nothing.
